Believe it or not, I’ve actually been working hard for the last couple of days. The reason being is this – I always take a while to get started, but once I’m at that point, it’s pretty hard to stop me. Monday and Tuesday were pretty much disposable, and I would have been better off staying home for those days. I was THAT unproductive.
But, come Wednesday, I took off like a rocket and hadn’t expended all my fuel yet. I even ran out of things to do, so I started up a little project of my own initiative – make a list of all the LAN drops in the building and deactivate all the ones that haven’t been in use for a year or so. However, it is kind of related to the last two work orders I need to do, since they require three extra LAN drops that aren’t currently available for that horizontal. Tomorrow, I’ll isolate all those and complete the work orders, but I’ll be moving on to the rest of the building if my parts from INCO don’t come in (but I know they will).
I went to Subway for lunch today for the first time in a couple of months. I’ve been purposely staying away from Subway for a while because I’d been eating there for months on end, and I was starting to tire of it – which is something I didn’t want to do, since they are my most favorite restaurant. Now that I’m all rested from my Subway absence, I had a craving, so I fulfilled it. When I got to Subway, I ran into Amanda, Marcus’ girlfriend. For those of you that aren’t in the know, Marcus is a chilhood friend of mine. Our parents knew each other before we were even born, and Eugene, Marcus, and I all grew up together, because his family moved in next door to us. We’ve drifted apart these past few years since high school, but everytime we met again, it’s like we haven’t really missed much.
Anyway, back on topic, Amanda mentioned that she was expecting, and on top of that, she and Marcus were scheduled to get married soon. Say WHAT?! Well, that’s cool, but knowing Marcus, he probably forgot my invite, so I’m gonna call him up this weekend.
Ever since I got in Gackt’s single, REDEMPTION, I’ve been on a Gackt music kick, so I downloaded his entrie discography. I’m really enjoying his album, DIABOLOS, which came out recently, but I never picked it up. Well, I’m about to add it to my collection once I get myself out of the red in my Visa. Yeah, I finally fell into using my credit limit, but that’s mostly because of my recent Aspen Comics splurge, and the fact that I haven’t had much after hours work lately. No problem, I finally have something lined up – I just have to harden myself and charge exactly what I worked from now on. No more giving people special deals – I’d just be cheating myself.
In a previous Blogger post, I commented on how Crystal Kay’s music has always been hit-and-miss with me, but I just downloaded her new album, Call me Miss…, and it’s so far been nothing but hits with me! I’ll most likely make this CD another addition to my future purchases. Who says that downloading music hurts sales? Down with the RIAA!!
