Let’s face it, Ian’s not the brightest bulb in the room. At least, not when it comes to his computer. However, I’ve just informed him that his own company, The Source by Circuit City, offered to pay for Graham’s A+ certification as a prerequisite to applying for in-store technician status. If Ian decides to jump at this opportunity, I can guarantee that his luminosity as a bulb will be increased. Sweet.
Unfortunately, since Ian is still A+ deprived, I drove 800 kilometers and slept for 6 hours only to end up fixing his PC since I am so bored out of my mind waiting for our hosts to wake up. Wait, Ian’s alarm clock just went off.
It was a long drive to the city. The best part was when I was zooming along at 130 Km/Hr and I saw a weird, white truck approaching from afar halfway between Ashern and Winnipeg. Although I knew that cops usually don’t patrol the highway in trucks, I slowed down anyway, but was too late as the vehicle came into view past the road mirage and revealed itself to be a cop car. The damn lights on the top of the car gave off the appearance of a truck because of the road mirage. Now, by that time, I was going at approximately 115 Km/Hr and still decelerating. The aforementioned police cruiser went past us and… no flashing lights. Whew!
We made it to the city at 20:00, right on schedule, especially with all the delays. If we had no delays, we could have arrived at 19:30. I will now relay our further activities in SMART format (from work)!
