The one with Murata Renji.

The name, Murata Renji, isn’t a name that many people may know or recognize at first, if they did. The majority of the people that actually do know who he is recognize him as Range Murata.

I didn’t really feel like writing an entry, but I did want to post all these examples of Murata-sensei’s artwork. His style is so cyberpunk, contemporary, dark, and cute at the same time. Murata-sensei is like Yoshitoshi ABe (although ABe has collaborated with him).

One of his most popular artbooks would have to be the robot series. They’re actually being translated and released domestically by DMP.

I’ve seen a photo taken that has a similar composition to this. They must have realized the awesome power of Murata-sensei.

I don’t know why I like this one, but I like the hair and the clothes. It’s so stylishly modern, so meticulously drawn, you can’t help but think that there’s more than meets the eye here.

I really wish I could draw like this, but I don’t have time to practice, and when I do have time, I just want to relax and do something that doesn’t require any effort. Am I just lazy? Nah, I’ve just accepted the fact that I will never be able to draw like I want.

I bought WISH ROOM Tenshi No Kioku (released domestically as Hotel Dusk Room 215) for Nintendo DS today. I don’t know when I’ll actually play it, since I’m deeply involved with Gyakuten Saiban 2 (domestically: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney -Justice For All-) and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, all while trying to watch Invader Zim and season 5 of Smallville, interspersed with Nodame CANTABILE. Hopefully, I’ll squeeze in some time to at least try the game out. Anyway, all these things I listed are probably going to make up my activities for the entire weekend (since my MacBook is on backorder at Staples).

I don’t know why, but I’m so wiped from work. I didn’t even do that much at work. It was actually quite relaxing, compared to some days. It also helps that I made it relaxing. Hehehe. Honestly, I think I’m just tired of all the bullshit at work – too much paperwork, too much juggling, and too much thinking. I mean, I actually have to schedule my entire day or else everything goes to hell and I get taken advantage of by freaking clients. Today, I told a judge that I won’t help him until Monday, and judges are supposed to be top priority. Who cares?

Wow, in the end I actually did have something to talk about. There goes an hour.

The rest of the Range Murata works I have are a bit more erotic, but definitely not ecchi. This is art, after all.

Just his sketches alone are a wonder to behold. Those eyes are especially deep.
