I was thinking of making one last big purchase before I commit to the whole act of killing my debt with every available paycheck for the next year. Since I plan to start my debt killing in September, I would need to make this purchase by the end of the month. Believe it or not, I e-mailed a few cancellations of preorders from Neowing. It’s not much, but at least I’m taking a step forward. Byaaah!
So, what is this mysterious big purchase, you ask? Well, seeing as how I’ll be stuck in front of a computer even more than now, I decided that a new PC would be ideal. Mitake is quite an old PC back from my RadioShack days, and although she has served me well, it’s time to move on and replace her. I was thinking of getting a prebuild, since replacing parts for them would be somewhat easier, and I wouldn’t have to worry about case design and all that jazz. Despite that, I do want that nice Antec P180 case. At the same time, wasting money on a prebuild would be pointless – I’d never be able to upgrade a PC like that – at least, not to a level I want. It would basically end up becoming another throw-away PC, or a hand-me-down PC for one of my family members. However, realistically, even if I custom build a PC, it’ll never perform as well as a prebuild. Also, custom building tends to be more expensive, which I probably won’t have the money for. What to do, what to do…?
