The one with the third or fourth server move.

I don’t even remember what number I’m on. I’ve totally lost count of the times I’ve changed web hosts. I’ve also taken on a lot more than I bargained for. I moved to BlueHost, which I’ve evaluated for some time ever since I set up my aunt’s hosting on it for her online store. Now I’ve combined her site hosting with mine. I also took on the restaurant’s website, which may end up short-lived. I may even move my real-life blog. Lots of consolidation going on.

Not only that, but HIOS.org has gone the way of the dinosaur, as in, it’s extinct. Heck, if you tried visiting it and it actually takes you somewhere, then chances are that somebody else already snagged it. I know I got an offer or two while I had that domain. HIOS had some history, but it was time to let go and move on. Having a placeholder site for several years wasn’t costly, but it was a waste. I still have the subdomain connected, though, so if you click on the link to the left, it will take you to the placeholder site. I don’t think I’ll do anything with it, but you never know.

In its place, I registered HANGAShousetsu.com. I want to promote my writing more than anything else, so a new branding seemed appropriate, since I’ve been using that circle name for some time. I say circle loosely, though, since I’m the only member, kind of like Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails.

This site is no longer my primary domain, though, for various reasons. I decided to place it under an almost incorporated name, which happens to be an idea that my Dad had for our family restaurant business, but I shortened it and made it my own. Who knows, he might use it. I won’t kiss and tell, though – this site is my anonymous otaku-in-the-closet site, and not a lot of people that I know personally are aware of my severe obsession with Japan. I intend to keep it that way.

Anyway, time to cut it short. Within the month, this blog should be completely moved to the new host. I won’t initiate the change until everything has been tested out thoroughly. Does anybody even read this blog anyway? I guess it doesn’t really matter – less visitors means less outage impact. Hehehe.

The one with all the Lesson Reviews.

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with this blog ever since I started using Hummingbird last fall. So, I decided to try an idea of mine called Lesson Reviews. Essentially, it’s more of a “what I learned from X anime” than a review, but the thing is, there will be good and […]
