So, the collaboration is underway! The name of the online manga collaboration is キティーキティーこうこう (Kitty Kitty Koukou (Kitty Kitty High School (nested parentheses rock! (unless they’re nested THIS badly)))), and it’s no longer a parody, but an original series. I always find myself having problems doing original anime fiction (OAF?) with references to other material. I guess that’s what makes me a good writer – I don’t plagiarize, nor do I condone plagiarism, even if it’s all in good humor. Mind you, I love watching or reading parodies, but I don’t like making them very much.
Anyway, I finished writing the first episode of キティーキティーこうこう (it’s such a cute name – took me four hours to come up with it) and Minky-chan finished drawing up profiles for every character, and we had a long discussion about how we were gonna present the manga. Tomorrow, she’ll be doing full-body profiles and I’ll be revising the first episode, as well as starting on plans for future episodes and manga storyboards. A lot of my inspiration for this storyline comes from Azumanga Daiou‘s comedy, the feel/style of bishoujo series like KareKano, Fruits Basket, Chobits, and Onegai Teacher, and the unique quality of series like FLCL, Serial Experiments Lain, and .hack//SIGN. I guess watching all that anime finally paid off. I’m putting its influence to work for once. I’ll keep you posted on future events, but I know for sure that the manga will be posted on HIOS.org, replacing the defunct HIOS Life. If I’m lucky, my untitled bishoujo manga series will run concurrently, if I have time. Yeah, right. Speaking of which, I finally got error pages done for HIOS.org! Yay! Just visit any non-existing page and you’ll see the cool result. Nyow!
I want your baaaAAAby~
~Ayu-mi-yake~
Is that even possible? O_o
The WANT of your baby, yes I’m sure it is ._.
Hahaha, I don’t know if my baby will even be remotely like me!!
