Flin Flon heaven – or hell?

Girl of the Day

Igawa Haruka

Just because I’m out of town doesn’t mean I won’t update or post the GOTD. Actually, if I don’t feel like it, that’s when I don’t do either. ^_^;

Took four hours to get to Flin Flon, due to the construction and the small towns on the way that require you to do 70 on a 100 stretch. Stupid highways. Anyway, Flin Flon is kinda neat. The way downtown is set up, it’s kind of like downtown Toronto with all its little shops and stuff. However, with the crazy rolling hills this town is a victim of, it looks like San Francisco at times. At its heart, though, is just another small mining town. Work sucked, of course, seeing as how I had to get down on my hands and knees to change out the UPS. Met a couple of hot chicks – a cutie named Lacey at the eye doctor’s, and a nice blonde named Amie at a realtor’s. However, the realtor was a real bitch and accused me of illegally parking in her lot, which had absolutely no signs anywhere that the lot was even used. Anyway, the small town mentality was there, seeing as how I could just describe a car and somebody knew exactly whose car it was and where they worked. The situation was that I parked in this empty parking lot – illegally, of course – and when I had to go, the only exit was blocked by a red hatchback. That’s what led me to this Amie chick and to that irate realtor. If she happens to be reading this, take a chill pill! Life is too short for that bullshit.

Anyway, I spoke to Stan and he requested that I stay the night, which was my original intent, so that I could hit Wabowden on the way back. I’m currently staying at the Victoria Inn, which is a real nice hotel. Best of all – complimentary wireless DSL! Nice!

Well, I’m headed off to Wal-Mart. Because of my lack of foresight, I ended up not bringing some essentials, so I need to grab the basics.

Current Music: Junkie XL – Billy Club

Started ripping my old CDs recently, and I came across this classic album – Saturday Teenage Kick. Junkie XL was an awesome artist, and I love their beats. While Billy Club was not my most favorite song, it was one of their singles and I found it rather catchy. Just for this trip, I brought along a few CDs to listen to. This CD was one of them.

The one with all the Lesson Reviews.

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with this blog ever since I started using Hummingbird last fall. So, I decided to try an idea of mine called Lesson Reviews. Essentially, it’s more of a “what I learned from X anime” than a review, but the thing is, there will be good and […]
