Well, I didn’t do much drawing this week, but that’s because I was preoccupied. A lot. I was busy playing ときめき (Tokimeki) Check in!, which is an excellent びしょうじょ (bishoujo) game from CROWD. You can buy it from the JAST USA website. I’ve only unlocked three girls (well, four, but みさと (Misato) and けいこ (Keiko) are considered a 2-for-1 package deal ^_~) and うめさん ‘s (Ume-san’s) ending, and then I received Critical Point in the mail, and I’ve been busy with that one. I’ve only been able to unlock one girl in that one, but I’m still keeping myself busy with ときめき Check in! due to the setting, the characters, and the romance. I think all that romance finally got to me on Saturday night, though, because I just lost it at work. I was majorly depressed due to the fact that I had become a typical びしょうじょうたく (bishoujo otaku) – that is, has no real experience with flesh-and-blood relationships and spends all his time with artwork images of girls who aren’t even real. It just made me feel all the more helpless and lonely. Anyway, I got over it after a good cry (yeah, I cry about the silliest things).
There has been an up-side to all this gaming, though. It further gave me new and fresh ideas for the まんが. First off, write what you know. All the female characters will be based on some personalities of real women in my life (nobody romantic, if that’s what you’re thinking). I also plan to put a Chinese restaurant in the town where りょすけ (Ryosuke) lives, and it will be his after school job. Since I have plenty of experience with Chinese restaurant work, I might as well put all that knowledge to use. In addition, I plan to end the online まんが in a …different way. However, I have to get cracking with my drawing skills and more character outlines. In the meantime, I’ll still be trying to wrack my brain for a title for this まんが. I think that I might have to write down some rough plans for the storyline sometime soon, though.
Well, what else is new besides the まんが ? Well, I received うただヒカル ‘s (Utada Hikaru) traveling CD single, the traveling DVD, and her newest CD single, ひかり (Hikari), which is also the theme song for SquareSoft’s Kingdom Hearts. I also ordered in Kingdom Hearts and おにむしゃ (Onimusha) 2 for my Japanese PS2. However, I still haven’t received my Mahoromatic DVD set and my Archos Jukebox Recorder 20! Grr! The Jukebox was late because it was delayed from the seller’s distributor. However, I haven’t received a response to my newest e-mail from the seller of the Mahoromatic DVD! That kind of irresponsible crap makes me psycho-mad! People like that need to learn to honor their words with swiftness! He’d better pray that the DVD shows up this week, or else!
Well, enough talk. More ときめき Check in! じゃねみんなさん (Ja ne, minna-san)!
“What the hell are you doing, Taka-bo?!?!”
